mail day! 2001 atelier boz op

A highly anticipated package unexpectedly arrived at my doorstep today: Atelier Boz's simply named Lace OP released in 2001. Does anyone else miss the days when dresses were just named things like Babydoll JSK and Plaid 3 Tier Skirt? No confusion about what those look like.

I was so impressed as soon as I took the dress out of its packaging. For such an old dress it felt practically new! The fabric is a slightly shiny polyester, but it feels very high quality. The raschel lace is also gorgeous. Here's some more detail shots:

Of course, I had to immediately put the dress on and take some coord photos. The sizing on the dress is kind of interesting: the sleeves and torso are on the long side, but the shoulders are quite tiny. Luckily with some help from the waist ties it fits me well. I also wanted to showcase my lovely gobelin chair and newly obtained clock in my coord photos for a change of scenery.

Honestly, this might be a new favourite dress!

No confusion about what they look like, but so much confusion about Whose Babydoll and Which Lace OP down the line. This is such a lovely, lush little piece of lolita history though. It's absolutely delightful!

This is gorgeous!! I love the silhouette of the sleeves and the ruffles on the skirt. Even though the old names are very to the point and descriptive, man is it hard to look them up haha
